Exact date extrapolated from the dates of death of Percy and Keyes and disappearance of Rookwood; Dominic tells us that these all took place "the day after the St Mary's outbreak", and the dates are shown on computer screen in the three men's files. Approximate date extrapolated from Valerie's letter which states that "for three years I had roses..." and from the basic assumption that she didn't move in with Ruth immediately after meeting her. I have allowed a year there. Although all of this is out of sync with the St Mary's outbreak, which Valerie was supposed to have had some part in during her time at Larkhill, but which took place five years earlier than this.

Date that film begins: 4th November 2027
Approximate date, give or take a year, extrapolated from the fact that near the end of the film, in a segment which takes place eleven months after the opening scenes (2nd October by date on TV screen), a newsreader is heard to mention that V is allegedly connected to the viral outbreak "fourteen years ago". Ergo, it must be presumed that the film actually begins thirteen years after St Mary's and not fourteen.
